# How can I add business hours to my IVR-Menu?

With a voice menu, you can guide your customers through a voice-controlled selection to connect them directly to the right department or person. However, you can also use a voice menu to automatically play an announcement outside your business hours with an indication of the opening hours for incoming calls.

→ To do this, assign any free number other than the central phone number to the voice menu.

The new number is only required to forward calls to the voice menu.

→ Then create a new group and assign the central phone number to it.

→ Now activate voicemail for this group. You can then record the text to be played as an announcement outside of business hours or upload it as an MP3.

You can then click on **Edit** in the group routing and set up direct forwarding in all cases to the phone number stored in the IVR in the right-hand area.

→ In the forwarding rules, enter the number that you have assigned for the voice menu under Immediately.

→ Now enter your opening hours in the **Working hours** field and **Time Profile 1.**

→ Next, enter your closed hours in the Remaining time field.

→ In your routing for your closed hours go to the right branch and click on the cogwheel.

→ There, tick the box **Apply forwarding immediately to all cases**.

→ Finally, select the voicemail with the corresponding greeting from the drop-down menu.
