# How do I start a call from my Online Account (Click2Dial)?

Making calls with sipgate is quick and easy, whether you're using a connected VoIP phone or an external device. With the intuitive **Call** feature in the online account portal, you can effortlessly connect with anyone. Follow these simple steps to initiate a call directly from your account and stay connected with just a few clicks.

* **Log in** to your account. You'll see the **Click2Dial** option labeled **Call** among the three blue buttons below your username in the left-hand Navigation Bar.
* **Click on Call.** This will open the **Initiate Call** window, where you can:
  * Enter the number you want to call.
  * Select the device or phone you want to make the call from (ensure the chosen device is online and registered).
* **Press Call.** Your selected device will ring. Once you answer, the number you entered will be dialed, and the call will connect as usual.

You can also call a contact directly from your contacts list. Simply click **Contacts** in the navigation bar, select the contact you wish to call, and click the highlighted **Call** button. This will open the **Initiate Call** window, allowing you to set up the call as described above.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://teamhelp.sipgate.co.uk/use-sipgate/telephony/how-do-i-start-a-call-from-my-online-account-click2dial.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
