# Enable Call Rate Announcement

You can enable or disable the Call Rate Announcement feature for your cloud telephony system. When activated, sipgate will inform you of the applicable rate before every outgoing call. This is particularly useful for calls to international numbers, allowing you to see exactly how they will be charged.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Important:** This feature only applies to calls that are not covered by a flat rate.
{% endhint %}

### How to enable Call Rate Announcements

1. Go to **My Telephony** and select **Telephony** from the left-hand navigation menu.
2. Under **Phones**, choose the phone for which you want to configure the announcement.
3. Click on the **three dots** next to the selected phone and choose **More Settings**.
4. Scroll down to **Tariff Announcement** and toggle the switch to activate or deactivate the feature. When enabled, the toggle will turn blue and display "On."

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://teamhelp.sipgate.co.uk/use-sipgate/telephony/enable-call-rate-announcement.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
