Please use the following guide to setup your Linksys device with your sipgate account.
The devices listed have a similar basic setup and this guide can be used as a guideline: Linksys PAP2T, SPA 901, 921, 941, 922, 942, 962, 1001, 2102, 3000, 3102
To configure your Linksys you'll need your SIPID and SIP Password.
Follow the instructions in your device manual to access your Linksys device's Web Configuration menus.
Under Advanced Settings select an available Line and enter your sipgate SIP Credentials:
Save your changes and open the SIP tab:
In Advanced Settings the NTP Timer Server can be set to: ntp.sipgate.net
Testing your Phone's setup:
To test your phone's configuration, please dial the following sipgate numbers:
- 10000
- 10005
- 10020
If you have problems registering your Linksys online, or with making calls, under SIP --> NAT Support Parameters test with the STUN Enable set to Yes.
If you use an older analogue (BT) telephone and do not receive a ringing tone on inbound calls you may require a special adapter cable called RJ11 to BTS adaptor with ring capacitor. This cable will provide the expected ringing signal for UK analogue phones when used with US American manufacturer's adapters.
Using Multiple Phones Behind the Same Router:
If there's more than one VoIP phone/device on the same local network, assigning each different local UDP ports will avoid port conflicts.
For each SIP Phone or device you add, increment the local ports used by 100.
