The following guide will be a useful guideline to help configure Grandstream adapters with your sipgate account and applies to all adapters from the HT series, e.g. HT 801 / 802 / 812 / 814 etc.
The screenshots below are taken from an older firmware version. With newer version adaptors, the field entries are still correct information entries it's just that some fields have moved and are now in the FXS port tab. With the later firmware editions, please make sure to set "enable port" to YES before saving.
To configure your Grandstream you'll need your SIPID and SIP Password.
Follow the instructions in your device manual to access your Grandstream Adapter's Web Interface menus.
Under FXS Port, enter your sipgate account's SIP Credentials:
Under Advanced Settings set STUN Server is to: stun.sipgate.net:10000
You'll find the correct Firmware Server Path for your Grandstream at: www.grandstream.com/support/firmware
Testing your Phone's setup:
To test your phone's configuration, please dial the following sipgate numbers:
- 10000
- 10005
- 10020
If you have problems registering online or making calls, test with the STUN Server enabled.
To enable STUN, open the FXS Port menu and change NAT Traversal (STUN) to Yes.
Using Multiple Phones Behind the Same Router:
If there's more than one VoIP phone/device on the same local network, assigning each different local UDP ports will avoid port conflicts.
For each SIP Phone or device you add, increment the local ports used by 100.
