How can I create and edit Telephony and Routing for a User?
This guide provides steps for assigning phone numbers, creating a VoIP device connection, adding and editing call routes, and renaming routes and devices.
Note: Administrators have full control over Call Routing for all Users, while individual Users can only manage their own.
Editing Call Routing for Administrators
Assigning a Phone Number
To assign a phone number, log in, go to Users, and select the desired User.
Click Edit.
In the routing diagram, assign a phone number to the User.
Then finish by clicking Finish editing.
Creating a VoIP Device
To create a VoIP device, log in, select the User, and click Edit Routing. Then, click Add a new device. This will generate a SIP ID and password for registering a VoIP phone. The device will now appear in the routing diagram, where you can toggle it on or off.
Customising Call Routing for Devices and Numbers
Click Add to set up separate call routing for different devices and phone numbers.
A new call route will be created, which you can customise by clicking Edit routing.
Renaming Call Routes and Devices
We recommend renaming routes and devices for easier identification. To rename, click Edit routing for routes or the three-dot icon next to a device to edit its name.
Editing Call Routing for Users
Users can manage their own Call Routing by logging in and selecting Telephony from the sidebar. They will see the same routing options as administrators but cannot add new phone numbers to their routes.
