How to add or remove a Group greeting
Once a group and its members are set up, admins can personalize it with a greeting, such as a custom company message. You can choose from several standard announcements, upload an MP3 file, or record a greeting directly via phone. Greetings can be enabled or disabled through the Edit Routing option in the group’s call routing settings.
Adding a greeting with a standard announcement
Select the group you want to configure from the group overview. In the Call Routing section, you can add a greeting. If you don’t upload a custom greeting, sipgate’s default announcement will be used.
Changing a greeting
Navigate to the group overview and select the relevant group. Click Greeting, then the settings icon. You can record a new message using Click2Record with your VoIP phone, upload a previously recorded MP3 file, or choose from two standard announcements. Save your changes once done.
Important: Group greetings do not apply to internal calls via direct extensions.
Removing a greeting
Go to the group overview and select the group where you want to remove the greeting. Click Edit Routing, then delete the greeting by clicking the trash icon in the Greeting section. A confirmation prompt will appear—click Yes to complete the removal.
