How do I select or suppress my caller ID?
In your sipgate account you can select, which phone number you wish to transmit when you start a call. No sender number is set by default. You can select a mobile number or a landline number, for example the number of your central office.
As Admin click the user you wish to configure. In the routing settings click Edit and then click on the device. Here go to Device settings and add the preferred Caller ID.
In the displayed number field, you can set an already assigned number as the sender ID or suppress the sender number. If you display the sender number by default, you can also suppress it for individual calls by pressing the key combination *31# before the actual number.
Your original, incoming telephone number is visible to the police, emergency services, call centers and prosecuting authorities at all times. Misuse of this service is punishable by law.
A function called Clip no Screening is used to transmit sender numbers that are not assigned to your account. As not all networks and providers support this, we cannot guarantee that the desired number will always be displayed at the destination, especially when calling abroad.
If an international number is set as the sender ID, calls or faxes to special numbers such as 0800 are sometimes not possible. Some providers of special numbers only allow calls from local and mobile numbers.
Note: The sender number set here is not automatically transferred to CLINQ. As user, you must set your sender number again in you CLINQ settings.
