How to set up Plug & Play (Auto-Provisioning)
Plug & Play, also known as Auto-Provisioning or Remote Setup, enables quick and easy configuration of Snom D-phones. To configure the phones, you'll need their MAC addresses.
Important: The Plug & Play feature is only available for DXXX Snom devices with firmware version 10.x and above.
First, log in as an admin. Then, go to Account Management and click on Plug & Play in the navigation menu. To add a device, click Add.
In the window that appears, enter the phone's MAC address and the name of the user whose phone you want to configure.
Important: The MAC address can be found on the packaging or the underside of the phone. Alternatively, you can also find it in the "System Information" menu on the phone's display.
Once you connect the phone, it will automatically download the configuration file and be ready to use within minutes. If needed, you can manually adjust the configuration file using the XML editor. If you want to assign the phone to another person, click the gear icon in the top right corner and reassign the device.
