How do I set up Notifications for Events?
In the Notifications section, you can enable alerts for various events. Notifications can be sent via email (free) or SMS (€0.07 per SMS). Additionally, selected notifications will appear in the event list.
To set up a new notification, go to My Telephony ➔ Settings ➔ Notifications. Here, you'll see an overview of all events and can create a new notification for different event types (calls, voicemails, faxes, or SMS) by clicking the Add button.
In the next step, you can select an event: Choose an event type (call, fax, voicemail, or SMS), the direction of the event, and a destination. For calls and voicemails, you can use the for specific numbers only option to limit notifications to selected numbers.
Next, choose an action: email (free) or SMS (€0.07 per SMS) to be triggered after the event. You can enter multiple email addresses or phone numbers, separated by commas. You can also decide how these events should appear in the event list. If you choose email notifications for incoming faxes, the fax will be attached as a PDF document.
At the end, you’ll see a summary of the notification you’ve set up. Confirm by clicking Save.
Notifications for receiving Faxes
If you enable email notifications for incoming faxes, the fax will be sent as a PDF attachment in the email. For SMS notifications, all registered mobile numbers will receive an alert about the new fax. Note that each SMS incurs a charge of €0.07, which will be deducted from your account balance.
Notifications for receiving Voicemails
You can enable notifications for incoming voicemails via email (free) or SMS (€0.07 per SMS). Additionally, it’s possible to receive a transcript of the voicemail message as a PDF attachment via email or as an SMS (up to 150 characters). You can also decide whether notifications should be sent to individual users or an entire group. These settings can be customized for each of your phone numbers. To set up email notifications, go to My Telephony → Telephony, select the voicemail, and click Email Notifications. As an admin, you can configure these settings for users under Account Settings → Users → Username → Voicemail → Email Notifications.
Disabling SMS Notifications
As an admin, you can disable SMS notifications for your users. To do so, go to Account Settings ➔ Users ➔ Permissions ➔ Extensions ➔ Web SMS. However, note that this will also prevent users from sending Web SMS via the web interface.
How do I set up notifications in a Slack or Microsoft Teams channel?
If your company uses Slack or Microsoft Teams, you can create a shared callback list in a Slack or Microsoft Teams channel.
To get started, log in to your sipgate account and navigate to My Telephony.
In the next step, go to Notifications in the right-hand menu and select Create New Filter.
First, choose the type of events you want to be notified about. Next, enable the Email option as the action and click Add More. Enter the email address of the Slack or Microsoft Teams channel where you want to set up the notifications.
