How do I enable microphone access on my device?

For macOS

To make calls with the sipgate app, the app requires access to your Mac's microphone. For security reasons, macOS blocks microphone access for all apps by default.

During the initial setup, the sipgate App CLINQ will request microphone access. If you grant it, no further adjustments are needed.
However, if you denied access at that time, you can easily adjust the settings via your Mac's System Preferences.

Navigate to System Settings ➔ Privacy & Security ➔ Microphone and check the box next to sipgate to allow access. Once done, the sipgate app will be ready for calls.

For Windows

Go to Settings ➔ Privacy & Security ➔ Microphone in the Windows menu.
Switch the Microphone Access toggle to ON, and then set Allow apps to access your microphone to ON.

If audio devices are still not listed in the sipgate App

• Check your software firewall and ensure it allows media/microphone access.
