The Acrobits and Groundwire softphones are compatible with Android and Apple iOS.
Note: The Acrobits application can be purchased for a fee in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Alternative, free-to-download softphones are available such as Zoiper, and CSIP Simple.
The Configuration of Acrobits with Android will be similar, as will the configuration of the Groundwire app.
Configuring Acrobits with Apple iOS:
Above Acrobits' Dialpad, tap the Settings button, and then tap on SIP Accounts.
In the top right hand corner of the next page, tap the " + " button:
Choose the Generic Account option:
Next, you'll need to enter your SIP-ID and SIP Password (not your web login credentials):
Open Advanced Settings and check the following settings:
- Incoming Calls: On with Backgrounding
- Proxy: sipgate.co.uk:5060
- Auth User Name: Your SIP-ID
- Transport Protocol: UDP
- DTMF Mode: Please enable the option "RFC 2833"
- Expires: 600
- Now please tap on 'Hacks' and enter:
- RTP Port Start: 43104
- RTP Port End: 43120
- SIP Port: 43160
Tap on Done and/or Save to store your settings.
You've finished configuring your Acrobits softphone!
Testing your Phone's Set Up:
To test your phone's configuration dial the following sipgate numbers:
- 10000
- 10005
- 10020

Troubleshooting:
If you've problems registering online or with calls, please test with and without the STUN Server enabled.
To enable STUN:
- In Acrobits' Settings open your sipgate account;
- Open Advanced Settings and tap on NAT Traversal;
- Under Media select STUN
- In the STUN Server field enter stun.sipgate.net:3478

Notes:
Acrobits offers Apple iOS users the option of Push Notifications instead of Backgrounding. Using PUSH Notifications may extend your iPhone or iPad's battery life, but isn't supported by sipgate.
Acrobits supports using different codecs for WiFi and for 3G/4G connections. We recommend using lower bandwidth codecs with 3G/4G connections:

GPRS and EDGE connections may allow Acrobits to register, but won't support VoIP calling.
