Communicating with the sipgate API
Communication with the sipgate API takes place via the XML-RPC protocol. Libraries for XML-RPC exist for most programming languages and platforms. Communication with the API is only possible via an SSL secured connection.
The name of the server to which the client is to send their requests is: api.sipgate.net (Port 443)

How do I authenticate with the sipgate API?
Authentication against the sipgate API is via OAuth 2.0 or alternatively with a Personal Access Token. A detailed explanation can be found in our documentation.
Can the API only be used with VoIP Phones?
Over the sipgate API calls between "normal" telephones can also be built. The telephone numbers must always be passed in the international format (format E164).
What costs are incurred when using the sipgate API?
The sipgate REST API is freely available and can be used without charge with all sipgate contracts.
