What is the Presence Display (Busy Indicator)?
In your sipgate account, you’ll find the Presence Display under My Telephony. This feature shows which users are currently available and serves as an alternative to a busy lamp field.
If a user is on a call, their tile—showing their internal extension—will turn red.
Important: Each user must be assigned an internal extension for this feature to work.
Using the Presence Display
- In the left-hand navigation bar, you’ll find the Presence section with all internal extension numbers.
- Clicking an extension will start a call to that colleague.
- If an extension is busy, its tile will appear red. If it’s being dialed, the tile will have a red border, and the user’s name will move.
- You can still place a call to a busy extension if needed.
