sipgate roles: Administrators and Users
Administrator capabilities
When you set up an account for your company, you automatically receive the administrator role for this account with access to account management. This lets you manage everything, including adding new users.
Tip: As a sipgate admin, you can grant admin rights to others during setup for shared account management.
- Plans: Order/book, change (upgrade or downgrade), and cancel.
- Phone Numbers: Order/book, port over, and allocate.
- Users: Create, allow Admin rights, block, and delete.
- External Phones: Integrate to a User's account (mobiles & landlines).
- Groups: Create, delete, and assign phone numbers to Groups.
- Account Balance: Top-up and view your current account balance.
- Invoices: See your itemised bill and call detail records (CDRs).
- sipgate Mobile Phones: Assign sipgate mobile devices to individual users.
- Add IVRs and Call Queues: (Requires the Pro Package add-on).
- Change User Details: Modify User emails, personal data, and login credentials.
- Call Permissions: Choose which destinations Users can call.
- Access User Features: Everything Users can do.
Please note: Administrators cannot access a User's event list or change their notification settings.
User capabilities
Users do not have access to account management but retain the ability to adjust or create many things themselves.
- Telephony: Make and receive calls, send SMS, and access voicemail.
- Event List: View and manage your personal event list.
- Phone Numbers: Administer and define where each phone number rings.
- Devices: Configure personal phones, voicemail, and Caller ID.
- Filters and Forwarding: Set up filters, notifications, and call forwarding.
- Contacts: Create and manage contacts.
- Faxes: Send and manage faxes.
- SIM Cards: Lock SIM cards.
- Data Volume: Book additional mobile data.
- Caller ID: Set your outgoing Caller ID number.
