If your company operates in multiple locations, you can set up your sipgate account to work seamlessly across all sites. This allows you to transfer calls via speed dial and use the Busy Lamp Field (BLF) function across locations (available in the "business L" and "business XL" plans).
Adding a new location
Once your main location is set up and verified, you can add additional locations via the account administration:
- Go to Account Administration → Locations → + Add Location
- Enter the new location's address and click Continue
- A verification letter will be sent to confirm the address
You can port existing local numbers for free or book new number blocks (3, 10, or 100 numbers).
Important: No matter how many locations you add, the account can only have one main billing recipient.
Assigning emergency 999 locations
To set up emergency call routing, an account administrator must first add a verified location
- Go to Account Administration → Locations → + Add Location
- Complete the location details and verify the address via the letter sent to this location
- Once verified, the location can be activated for 999 Emergency Services
Each user must then be assigned an emergency location
- Log in as the user and go to User Settings → Location
- Select an emergency location from the team account’s verified addresses
This ensures compliance with emergency service regulations.
