How to set up your Emergency Information

Setting Up Emergency Information for Users

You can configure emergency information for each user on your account. In case of an emergency call, if the caller cannot provide their location, the emergency details will be relayed to help responders find them.
999 calls can be made from all sipgate accounts.

To edit your emergency details

  1. Log in as the correct user and go to User Settings in the navigation bar.
  2. Click on Location.
  3. A pop-up will allow you to select an emergency location from existing locations or add a new one.

Important: Keep emergency details up to date to avoid sending emergency services to the wrong location. Review your information regularly. If you make a call from a location different from your registered emergency details, you must provide your current location to receive assistance. Do not select an automatic local area code, as it can hinder emergency services. Find this setting under Phones.

Warning: Do not make a test 999 call. It may be considered a hoax, and you could be prosecuted. Any costs or penalties incurred by sipgate due to test or hoax calls will be passed on to the customer.
