The following guide will help configure Obihai adaptors with your sipgate account.
Obihai offers an online device manual: www.obihai.com/OBiDeviceAdminGuide.
To configure your Obihai you'll need your SIPID and SIP Password.
Follow the instructions in the device manual to access your Obihai's Web Server-Based Local Configuration menus.
Note: Un-check the 'Default' box when changing settings from their default value.
Our NTP Server is: ntp.sipgate.net :
Testing your Phone's Set Up:
To test your phone's configuration, please dial the following sipgate numbers:
- 10000
- 10005
- 10020
If you've problems making calls or with registering online, test with and without the STUN Server setting enabled:
Using Multiple Phones Behind the Same Router:
If there's more than one VoIP phone/device on the same local network, the following local UDP port numbering scheme will avoid port conflicts.
For each SIP Phone or device you add, please increment the Local SIP UDP Port and RTP Port values by 100:
Example:
Local UDP Port Numbering Scheme: |
Phone | X_UserAgentPort |
RTP LocalPortMin - LocalPortMax |
Phone 1 | 44160 | 44104-44120 |
Phone 2 | 44260 | 44204-44220 |
Phone 3 | 44360 | 44304-44320 |
Phone 4 | etc.. | etc... |
If you use an older analogue (BT) telephone and do not receive a ringing tone on inbound calls you may require a special adapter cable called RJ11 to BTS adaptor with ring capacitor. This cable will provide the expected ringing signal for UK analogue phones when used with US American manufacturer's adapters.
