# How to configure the BLF with Gigaset

These instructions apply to Gigaset Maxwell 10 phones.

Please note that this function is only available if you have booked the **sipgate business L or XL** tariff.

#### Displaying the IP address of the phone

Please ensure that DHCP is activated in your router. DHCP is activated by default on most routers. First connect the Gigaset Maxwell 10 to your router. The phone is automatically assigned an IP address by the router. Open **Settings** -> **Wireless & networks** -> **Ethernet configuration** on the phone.

The current IP address is displayed. If 0.0.0.0 is displayed, please check point 1 and restart the router and phone. If the IP address is an individual IP adress, e.g. "192.168.001.100, please enter "<http://192.168.1.100>" in your browser without leading zeros. You will now be taken to the Maxwell 10 web configuration menu.

#### Create a user for the BLF:

In the web configuration menu of the Gigaset Maxwell 10, switch to the **Settings** tab , then in the menu on the left-hand side go to the **Function keys** area . Under **Programmable keys**, you can now enter the data as shown below. You can create these beforehand using the **Add** button. Aferwards, you can simply edit the programmable buttons (PK1 to PK14) using the **Edit** button.

Select **BLF** in the **Function** field. Then select your own sipgate account in the **Connection name** field. Enter the name of the user in the **Name** field. Enter the employee's internal extension number in the **Number** field. For example, enter 42 to see the status of the user with the extension 42. Enter \*9 in the **Code for call pickup** field so that you can also use the pickup function via the programmable keys. Confirm your entries by clicking on **Save**.
