# How to move or delete a location

Are you relocating your business but want to stay reachable without interruption? No problem! Just keep a few things in mind.

**Important:** The new location must be verified again. When initiating the move, set a moving date at least 14 days in the future to ensure you remain reachable on your current numbers until the transition.

Once you start the location move, you will receive a letter with a **start code**, which you can enter on our website for instant verification. This letter typically arrives within **one to two days** after initiating the move.

If you are moving to a **different area code region**, your current number contracts will be canceled. You will be notified about this in your account before the move is finalized.

To do so follow the upcoming steps

* Go to your **Location Overview**
* Open the details page of the location you want to move
* Click **Move or Delete** and follow the on-screen instructions
