# How to change your VAT Number

How to change or update your VAT number in your sipgate account settings as an administrator.

The **Account & Bills** section of a sipgate account is only visible to account [administrators](https://teamhelp.sipgate.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/204130832).

To change your sipgate account's VAT number:

* Open **Account Administration** ➔ **Account & Bills** ➔ **Invoices**
* Click on **VAT ID**
* Please enter your VAT number without spaces and preceded by the country code e.g. for a UK VAT number please use GB123456789.
* Click on **Save**

If the VAT number you've entered is accepted the status will change to **active**
